YEREVAN. – Armenia’s opposition Free Democrats Party Board has issued a statement. 

“The processes, which are unrolling in recent periods with respect to the Free Democrats and the [likewise opposition] Heritage parties, are unacceptable for our political force, and we express regret that all of our efforts to preserve the alliance have been pulverized.  

Considering the aforementioned circumstances, therefore, the Free Democrats Party Board [hereby] decides that the National Assembly’s [NA] Free Democrats Party representatives Khachatur Kokobelyan and Alexander Arzumanyan do not represent the [NA’s] Heritage Faction from this moment on.   

[Even though] Formally remaining as members of the aforesaid faction, they represent [solely] the Free Democrats Party at the National assembly and bear no responsibility for the actions by the Heritage Faction, [and] they are not bound by the faction’s decisions,” the Free Democrats Party Board’s statement reads.
