YEREVAN. – The “Help Your Brother” civic initiative, which provides assistance to the Syrian-Armenian community, is continuing its relief activities. 

The initiative already sent its first humanitarian relief—comprising fourteen tons of food—to Syria on October 15. And the second phase of this humanitarian cargo will be sent Tuesday via Syrian Air company’s Yerevan-Aleppo flight. So far, a total of 45 tons of food products have been collected within the framework of the “Help Your Brother” civic initiative.    

“[People] Are continuing to answer our call to help the Syrian-Armenian community. New organizations are joining the initiative. Also, several intellectuals have transferred money. The initiative is also carrying out activities to help the Syrian Armenians who are in Armenia. Food assistance will be provided in the coming days to the needy Syrian-Armenian families that have settled in Armenia,” the “Help Your Brother” civic initiative’s statement reads in particular.
