YEREVAN.- The Republican Party of Armenia and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) are not holding official talks on forthcoming presidential elections, Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan told reporters on Friday.  

“Personally, I want Prosperous Armenia to support the incumbent president,” Abrahamyan emphasized.

Speaker said he had not discussed the issue with PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan although the meeting of two leaders took place.

At the same time Abrahamyan did not rule out possibility of holding meetings to discuss PAP’s position on presidential race.  

Abrahamyan confirmed the rumors he was coming back from his visit to the Czech Republic together with former president Robert Kocharyan. However, Abrahamyan assured they were not discussing political problems.
