YEREVAN. – The political developments in Armenia are unpredictable, opposition Armenian National Movement Party Board Chairman and opposition bloc Armenian National Congress’ National Assembly Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan stated during a press conference on Monday.  

“The political processes in our country could develop not in the direction the political forces anticipate,” Manukyan noted. 

As per the MP, it is time to make an SOS distress call in Armenia since a long time, and this is linked with emigration. “In the case when 85 percent of those who were emigrating ten years ago were leaving the country for not having jobs, now, 45 percent leave the country because they do not see a future for their children and do not feel secure in Armenia,” Manukyan said.      

Also, he noted that unless the country’s political forces put aside their ambitions and unite around resolving this matter, Armenia will face the danger of total emigration. “Who has the need to be the president, or the parliamentarian, of a country where there is no population?” Aram Manukyan asked.
