A severely injured sea turtle was found in the sea, at the Fethiye district of Turkey’s Mugla Province. 

While cruising on a boat, a Ukrainian tourist had noticed a turtle that was pierced with a spear. The tourist immediately removed a part of the iron spear and informed about the turtle to the coast guards, who brought the turtle ashore and sent it for treatment, Hurriyet daily of Turkey reports.       

The turtle was immediately taken to the Center for Study and Conservation of Sea Turtles, where the 70 centimeter-long turtle, which weighed 55 kilograms, was brought in for treatment. It was found out that the spear had damaged its lungs.
