The newly appointed Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vano Noniashvili resigned.

The diplomat send in the papers for personal reasons, Georgian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Iya Makharashvili informed. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili approved the resignation. At the moment, Georgia has not appointed new Ambassador to Azerbaijan yet.

Noniashvili was endorsed by Georgian Parliament to the post in November 17, 2009. Earlier, he was the Head of Georgian Presidential Administration Press Service.
