The pledges of Bucharest summit will be met and Georgia will become NATO member, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen stated at the meeting with Georgian Parliament Speaker David Bakradze in Brussels.

The regional security was the topical issue of the meeting. In this regard, Rasmussen outlined “Russia should fulfill all terms of the contract on ceasefire and withdrawal troops from Georgian territory.”

Following the talks, Bakradze noted that NATO Secretary General was clear in his statements. NATO’s position on territorial integrity of Georgia was restated in the course of the meeting.

According to Bakradze, Rasmussen informed him of the intention to visit Georgia shortly, however no concrete date was announced, GeorgiaTimes informs.
