YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Minister of Nature Protection, Aram Harutyunyan, received French Ambassador Henri Reynaud.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the arrangements that were made following President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to France, and the prospects for increasing Armenian-French cooperation, Nature Protection Ministry press service informs.   

The ambassador noted that this meeting was the first such discussion during his tenure in Armenia, and therefore the interlocutors agreed to hold more frequent talks.

Upon Henri Reynaud’s request, Harutyunyan presented the environmental activities being carried out in Armenia. Also, he proposed to invite to Armenia the staff representatives from the French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy.

In his turn, Ambassador Reynaud informed that the management staff of the French Development Agency will arrive in Armenia soon and a meeting will be scheduled, during which the parties will discuss the matter of funding several environmental programs.
