YEREVAN. – No anthrax infection cases were recorded in Armenia in the last two weeks, Health Minister Derenik Dumanyan told news reporters during a briefing on Thursday.   

In his words, close to fifteen such cases were reported in the country in the past two months. “The virus is localized, the situation is under control,” Dumanyan added. 

Also, the Health Minister informed that anthrax was recorded in Armenia in the past, too. Specifically, close to twenty-six such cases were reported in the country in 2006.
