YEREVAN.- A representative of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc refused to comment on the personal conversation of his colleague made public on Sunday.

Talking to reporters on Monday, ANC member Nikol Pashinyan said he condemns wiretapping of a conversation.

“The methods typical for Soviet KGB must not be a part of our life,” he said, adding that law enforcers must institute proceedings regarding illegal wiretapping. Pashinyan said he would not comment on the conversation until law enforcers find those standing behind the case.

The conversation between ANC MP Zurabyan and Prosperous Armenia MP Oskanian was posted on Youtube by anonymous user. The main topics covered were ANC members’ attitude towards cooperation with PAP, upcoming presidential elections and possible nomination of a candidate from ANC. After being posted on Youtube, the recording was spread by media outlets.

Levon Zurabyan and ANC member Nikol Pashinyan accused NSS of wiretapping and spreading of personal conversations which contradicts the Constitution.
