YEREVAN.- Communist Party leader compared Armenia’s political field to a masquerade, noting that soon the masks will be pulled off.

Ruben Tovmasyan, leader of the Communist Party of Armenia, believes nothing will change since politicians are not capable of feeling shame.

“Different political figures are making pledges which they are unable to fulfill,” he said, calling the Armenian parliament “a family gathering.”

He is confident that new people in politics will not bring anything new. “Vanity, illiteracy and corruption predominate in Armenia,” he emphasized.

The Communist Party will convene a meeting till December 30 to discuss campaign issues, he said, ruling out support for any political force.
