February 9-11, 2010, RA President Serzh Sagsyan will be on a visit to Great Britain where he will hold a number of meetings with high-ranking British officials.
Last time RA President met with UK leaders within the framework of Prague Eastern Partnership Summit, on May 11, 2009. Serzh Sargsyan met with British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs David Miliband.
Since it gained independence, Armenia has maintained close contacts with France and Germany among EU countries, whereas its ties with Great Britain have not been so close. The only high-level meeting was held during the then Armenian President’s visit to Great Britain in 1996. In this context, Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Great Britain is of great significance.
