YEREVAN. – Zhamanak daily asked Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) spokesperson Tigran Urikhanyan what PAP Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan is engaged in and why he does not go to the National Assembly (NA).   

‘“[He is engaged in] Everything that he has always done: coordinating the activities of the political board and the parliamentary faction of our political force as well as our social and political and other activities that stem from his position,’ the PAP spokesperson replied. 

To our remark that he [that is, Tsarukyan] is also an MP, faction leader, and he is duty-bound to carry out obligations before the constituents and the state and attend the [NA] sessions, Urikhanyan stated: ‘I believe your question is somewhat arrogant and irrelevant because if there is a man in this country who carries out before the constituents, the citizens extremely large amount of obligations that stem from his own and also [from an] ethical conviction, that [person] is Mr. Tsarukyan,’” Zhamanak quotes.
