YEREVAN.- Every person, including Levon Ter-Petrosyan has the right to make any decision, analyst Stepan Grigoryan told reporters, commenting on the opposition leader’s decision not to run for president.

He noted it is wrong to shoulder responsibility on the first, second or third presidents. Young politicians must take over responsibility, voice new ideas and initiatives.

Three presidents are the main candidates being discussed ahead of the elections, thus other possible variants are ruled out, said Grigoryan, head of the Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation.

“The first president did his part in 2008 when the Armenian society awoke out of sleep. The opposition was consolidated around Levon Ter-Petrosyan. This was of major significance for political activeness of the Armenian society,” he added.
