YEREVAN.- The decision of the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) not to endorse any political force during upcoming elections will not affect Hrant Bagratyan’s intention to run for president.

Last week Bagratyan, chairman of Freedom Party — a member of ANC bloc — voiced his intention to participate in the elections. Later his bloc issued a statement saying they would support none of the candidates.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am on Thursday, Bagratyan said he had not changed his decision.

In his previous statement, Bagratyan said he would withdraw his candidacy in case ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan is nominated.
