The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on deployment of components of Patriot anti-missile system received from the U.S., the Netherlands and Germany.

As the Turkish publication Sabah informs, the message of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated:

“On November 21, 2012 Turkey, in order to ensure the security of her people and the territory, has asked NATO for air defense systems “Patriot”, after which NATO decided on December 4, that the United States of America, the Netherlands and Germany will send to Turkey two Patriot batteries each.”

The report also notes that the batteries provided by Germany are installed in Kahramanmaraş (Marash), the Dutch ones in Adana, the U.S. ones in Gaziantep (Aintab).
