YEREVAN. – Armenian Central Electoral Commission (CEC) Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan on Tuesday received the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s election observation mission delegation, which will monitor the course of Armenia’s presidential election to be held on February 18.  

Head of the delegation—and Moldovan MP—Alexander Stoyanoglo informed that 30-35 more observers, who are included in the aforesaid mission, will arrive in Armenia in the coming days, CEC press service informs.  

In his turn, Mukuchyan briefed the observers on the CEC preparations for the forthcoming election. Also, he underscored the transparency of the electoral processes in terms of raising public confidence. 

Furthermore, information was provided with respect to the nominations, registrations, and election campaigns of the presidential candidates.
