YEREVAN. – The Syrian Armenians find employment not solely in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan but, also, in the country’s regions. 

Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that, so far, close to 700 Syrian Armenians have applied to seek employment, and 300 of them have already found jobs.  

“Many of them work in their profession,” Hakobyan added. In addition, some of them have accepted the job offers not solely from Yerevan but, also, from Shirak and Lori Regions, where they are working with success.   

To note, the director of the cotton plant of Maralik city had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that he stands ready to employ Syrian Armenians that work in the textile industry. 

Armenia’s state agencies collect the applications of the employers’ requirements and offer corresponding jobs to the Syrian Armenians that have moved to Armenia.
