Debra Medina, Republican candidate running for Texas Governor’s office declared yesterday that she has questions to U.S. government whether it was involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, but speedily backed off these words, that attracted criticism from her race rivals.

Texas Governor Rick Perry and US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison parried this statement saying there were “some very good arguments” that U.S. was involved in collapse of the World Trade Center in September, 2001.

“I don't have all of the evidence there. I think some very good questions have been raised. In that regard there's some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there,” yahoo.com quotes Medina.

Thereafter, Republican candidate issues a statement that she does not reckon US Government was involved in the tragedy.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11,” her statement reads. “I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way,” e-source reports.

According to Rick Perry, Medina’s words were “an insult to the thousands of Americans who lost loved ones,” the source says.
