Greek Christian church in Turkey’s Trabzon previously functioning as a museum has been turned into a mosque.
Mufti of Trabzon said the renovation is close to an end, they only must appoint an imam, Hurriyet newspaper reported. It reports say that during prayers the icons will be covered.
The Church of Hagia Sophia was built in 1250-1260. It has been functioning as a museum since 1964.
