YEREVAN. – A group of environmental activists gathered near the building of the Opera house on Wednesday waiting for Prince Charles who attended the concert.
The high-ranking officials, ministers, members of parliament and other guests attended the concert organized in honor of the Prince of Wales.
The territory and ways leading to the opera house were cordoned by police. Activists called to keep the hands off Armenia’s mines.
A similar action was organized on Tuesday near the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts Matenadaran. “British mining industry will kill us”, “STOP”, “Environmentalist Charles, join Armenian environmentalists” read the posters in front of Matenadaran, which hosted Prince Charles.
