YEREVAN. – Four elections have not brought drastic changes in Armenia, as ruling Republican Party of Armenia reproduced itself by using country’s resources, Heritage party member Stepan Safaryan said during the Thursday discussion
Businessmen again occupied their places in the parliament as a result of uncontrollable elections. Elections brought no changes for separation between the government, business, state and a party.
He noted that Heritage party’s applications on recount of votes were not approved.
“Four elections were held under the same Electoral Code which does not allow separate the sate from the party. This is the assessment of the Venice Commission. Nothing can change as a result of such elections,” Safaryan emphasized.
Summing up the campaign, he admitted that the opposition camp had failures, too.
