YEREVAN. – China is considering Armenia as an important ally in the Caucasus and in the CIS area, State Councilor of China said.
China plans to continue steps in order to boost cooperation with Armenia, Wang Yi said during the meeting with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian.
Minister Nalbandian assured that Armenia attaches major importance to development and strengthening of ties with China.
The sides underscored importance of developing relations between Yerevan and Beijing, Lori Region and Shanxi Province. They discussed cooperation in the field of education.
Armenian FM touched upon the talks on finding peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.Wang Yi expressed his support of peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The Ministers discussed economic cooperation, implementation of previously reached arrangements, activities of Armenia-China intergovernmental commission and promotion of Chinese investments in Armenia.
Armenian FM invited his colleague to visit Yerevan.
The sides signed a protocol summing up consultations between the foreign ministries of two states.
