European Union intends to invest €13m into new environmental project, aiming at promoting environmental management in Eastern partnership (EaP) states.

The first stage of the project will tend to increase the accessibility of credible environmental information in Eastern partnership states, RBK.ua reports referring to EU office in Ukraine. In the frames of the project a Common environmental information system of regional states, that will assist in accumulation, analysis and monitoring of critical environmental information.

The project also comprises assessments in accordance with EU legal norms, that will enable EaP states to converge to European environmental standards.
