YEREVAN. – The very fact of the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents after a two-year break in talks at presidential format is a positive development, political analyst Sergey Minasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He noted that, as it was assumed before, no considerable movement in Karabakh peace process is expected.

The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs issued a statement following the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents in which confirmed leaders’ readiness to give impetus to further negotiations aimed at reaching peaceful settlement.

As a next step, the co-chairs will organize working meetings with ministers on the margins of OSCE Ministerial Council to be held on December 5-6 in Kiev. The Co-Chairs plan to visit the region before the end of this year.
