YEREVAN. – The Armenian delegation, led by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, on Wednesday wrapped up its two-day official visit to Greece. 

During the trip Ohanyan met separately with Greek National Defence Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos, and Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, informs the Armenian MOD press service.

At the talks, the parties gave a high assessment to Armenian-Greek military defense cooperation and underscored the need to develop this cooperation in several domains.

The Greek officials expressed willingness to assist in the development of the peacekeeping capacity and the defense reforms of the Armenian Armed Forces.

The two parties also agreed to review the cooperation agreements and to set up a joint coordination commission on military defense cooperation.

In addition, the Armenian delegation paid tribute and laid a wreath to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier of Greece.
