YEREVAN. – In 2014, the government will hang like a sword of Damocles over the head of people who work on salaries in order to supplement budget, economist Vardan Bostanjyan said.
He is convinced that the government is not going to ease conditions for business.
Another burden for citizens, Bostanjyan added, would be mandatory accumulated pension system that will come into effect in 2014 and obliges to allocate five percent of wages to the private pension funds (ten percent in case if salary is above AMD 500,000).
“Obviously, all the problems with the budget can be addressed more effectively by reducing the shadow of large business,” he concluded.
