YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian evaded the question whether there is problem with ARF member Vahan Hovhannisyan’s appointment to the post of Ambassador to Germany.

Talking to reporters, Nalbandian said the appointment process is not a subject for public debate. He noted that a relevant statement is made as soon as the process is completed.

“I am not talking about a particular appointment, but the procedure,” he said.

According to Hraparak daily, the reason for delay in Vahan Hovhannisyan’s appointment is a statement made by the first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan who once called ARF Dashnaktsutyun a terrorist organization. At the moment Germany is studying the activities of ARF Dashnktsutyun, the newspaper writes.
