YEREVAN. – In the case of signing the European Union (EU) Association Agreement, the Ukrainian authorities would have been in a less advantageous position than now, and therefore they decided not to take a risk.

Noravank Analytical Center Director Gagik Harutyunyan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In Harutyunyan’s conviction, now Ukraine is at a very advantageous position between the EU and the prospective Eurasian Economic Union. 

“Ukraine will maintain this position and try to carry out more harmonious collaboration [with them],” Gagik Harutyunyan concluded.  

To note, the Ukrainian government on Thursday instructed to suspend the preparations for the signing of the EU Association Agreement.
