YEREVAN. – Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan on Friday received newly appointed Denmark’s Ambassador Merete Juhl (residence in Kiev) on the occasion of presenting the copies of credentials.

President Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador on the appointment and wished her success for the benefit of development and strengthening of relations between Armenia and Denmark. Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to Armenia-Denmark relations and cooperation in different fields, and the evidence thereof is opening of the Embassy of Armenia in Copenhagen in 2011.

Ambassador Juhl underscored importance of opening an embassy in Denmark which is a sign that Armenia wants to develop cooperation with her country. Merete Juhl assured that she will do her best to enhance and develop Armenian-Danish partnership.

The sides discussed development of Armenia-Denmark ties within the framework of Armenia-EU cooperation.
