The tragic loss of life in the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia reminds us that there cannot be a military solution to the conflict, State Department representative said.

“Only a lasting and peaceful settlement can bring stability, prosperity, and reconciliation to the region,” Jen Psaki said during the briefing on November 21.

She recalled about the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents earlier this week.

“As a co-chair of the Minsk Group, the United States remains firmly committed to working with both sides, as is evidenced by this meeting to achieve that peace,” Psaki added.
