GYUMRI. – Special measures will not be taken to meet Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin in the City of Gyumri. 

Feliks Tsolakyan, Governor of Armenia’s Shirak Region where Gyumri is located, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As per Tsolakyan, they will conduct normal procedures that are envisioned for the reception of  high-level guests.

In addition, he considered unfounded the rumors that all Gyumri streets will be closed during Putin’s visit.   

“There is no need for and a sense in this. [But] we will meet the Russian president as it should be,” the regional governor stated. 

To note, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia is expected in late November, or early December. And the conference of the Armenian-Russian Interregional Partnership will be convened within the framework of this visit.
