Egyptian authorities decided to downgrade diplomatic ties with Turkey. Egypt’s Foreign Ministry declared Turkish ambassador to Cairo persona non grata and ordered to leave the country.
The authorities named Turkey’s interference in Egyptian internal affairs as a reason for the move, RBK reported.
Egypt has already recalled its own ambassador to Turkey. The response of Turkish authorities is not available yet.
