Six families are left homeless as a result of the fire that broke out in Gugark village of Armenia’s Lori Region, a Gugark Village Hall representative told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The representative also informed that the village prefect has gone to a meeting with the governor of Lori. They are discussing how to help these families and provide them with shelter.
To note, the Rescue Service had received a call, on Sunday at 7:44pm, informing that a two-storey wooden residential building, with six temporary shelters, was on fire in Gugark village.
Four fire and rescue squads plus a water truck were dispatched to the scene.
The residents were evacuated in time, and there were no casualties or injuries.
The fire was contained at 10:52pm.
As a result of the fire, however, the dwellings—with a total area of 300 square meters—were destroyed, and 22 people were left homeless.
