YEREVAN. – “Progress is already perceptible regarding the RA Government statement on transferring to the ‘open sky’ policy,” reads the statement which “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC has issued.

 “On [Friday,] November 22, agreement was reached between ‘Armenia’ International Airports’ CJSC and Air France to increase in the flight schedule of 2014 the number of weekly flights to 7, as compared to the last year’s 3-4 flights a week.

“Considerable progress is also observed in the direction of the United Arab Emirates. Instead of last year’s 7 flights a week, 11 flights shall be operated starting from December of the current year.

‘“Armenia’ International Airports’ CJSC is presently considering the issue of increasing the number of flights with other companies, as well. Developments in this direction shall be presented in the next few days.

“We are convinced that increase in the number of flights will create more favorable conditions for our passengers,” “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC’s statement also reads.
