YEREVAN. – After Armenia, it was Ukraine that was forced to abandon the process of European integration.

Armenia’s opposition Heritage Party Board Secretary Stiopa Safaryan stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Tuesday.

In his words, Europe itself he has no idea what will happen when Armenia and Ukraine are forced to sever relations with the European Union (EU).

Safaryan believes that, now, the matter has shifted to the EU-Russia dimension.

“The European Union will not abandon the strategic partnership. And the settlement of the difficulties will depend on the normalization of relations with Russia,” the Heritage Party official added.

Safaryan also expressed a view that an orientation issue will emerge in the political domains of Armenia and several other countries.

“The external political players will impact the dynamics of the country, and I believe that the political domain will face a major watershed,” Stiopa Safaryan argued.
