YEREVAN. – An investigation into the case of Armenia Today coordinator Argishti Kiviryan is completed and is sent for trial, Kiviryan himself told reporters.

On Thursday he was summoned to Special Investigation Service where the materials of the case were handed over to his lawyers.

Kiviryan said it was decided to reopen the investigation as the previous confrontation revealed contradictions in the testimony of the police officers.

“They did not learn their lesson well. Therefore, they decided to resume the investigation to bridge the gap,” he said.

As reported earlier, after the incident near the construction site of the Komitas 5 high-rise, Kiviryan was charged  with  violence against a representative of authorities.
