YEREVAN. – Europe will not abandon cooperation with Armenia, political analyst Alexander Iskandaryan believes. He is confident neither Armenia, nor Europe will refuse to cooperate with each other.
Iskandaryan, director of Caucasus Institute, is convinced that after Vilnius summit Armenia will continue its policy with European states at the level at which it will be possible.
“Armenia will continue its cooperation with Europe within possible frames, but it will take some time. Both Europeans and Armenians realize this. I think it will be somehow recorded in Vilnius by means of a statement and a signed document,” Iskandaryan told reporters on Thursday.
He noted that Armenia and the EU have been working for 3.5 years on a document that could not come into force “because of the circumstances connected with Armenia’s relations of with other countries.”
“But this document has not disappeared,” he emphasized.
