Over thousand Lufthansa pilots and attendants went on strike in Frankfurt airport.

Last week officers of the largest German air company threatened with a 4-day strike, that would be costly to the employer, but so far the parties agreed to carry on the talks.

The matter of dispute is wages as well as demand eligibility to vote on corporate decisions. However the management seeks to carry out the cost cutting program that ensures preservation of jobs if pay rise is not pursued.

Last year due to demand slump net loss of Lufthansa exceeded $150m, Vesti.ru reports.
