STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan participated in the capital Stepanakert at a solemn ceremony of opening the monument of a prominent commander, active participant of the Artsakh Liberation War, former head of the NKR Defense Army Staff, Lieutenant General Anatoly Zinevich.

President Sahakyan signified the contribution of Anatoly Zinevich to victories, formation and development of the Defense Army. According to the president, installation of the commander's monument on the street named after him is among the best means of keeping the general’s memory alive.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghoulyan and other officials participated in the ceremony.
