Armenian woman Ruzanna Grigoryan-Khachatryan, who had died recently in Strasbourg, France, had been in a coma after giving birth.

Those who knew Grigoryan-Khachatryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that she had a heart defect and having a baby was contraindicated for her. 

“After giving birth, she had fallen into a coma; she was in that condition for fifteen days,” some Strasbourg-Armenian community members said.   

Ruzanna Grigoryan-Khachatryan was 21 years old; she was living in France as a refugee, and she did not have a permanent job.   

We have learned that Grigoryan-Khachatryan’s relatives live in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

The French-Armenian Nouvelles d’Arménie magazine had reported earlier that Ruzanna Grigoryan-Khachatryan, who had been hospitalized in Strasbourg, had died. The magazine also noted that the young woman was in a coma for fifteen days.
