YEREVAN. – Armenia will get a 75-million euro loan from the German government-owned KfW development bank for the construction of an electricity transmission line in the direction of Georgia
The draft loan agreement was approved by the Armenian government during the session on Thursday.
The new transmission line will nearly three times increase the capacity for flows between the power grids of Armenia and Georgia. The project is estimated at around 105.2 million euro, and 85.2 million is a loan provided by KfW.
The rest will be provided as a 10-million loan from the European Investment Bank and a10-million grant through the European Neighbourhood Instrument.
