YEREVAN. – “The treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union [EEU] is of critical and strategic importance for our country.”

Opposition Armenian National Congress National Assembly (ANC NA) Faction Head Levon Zurabyan stated the aforementioned. He said this at Thursday’s NA deliberations with respect to the ratification of the treaty on Armenia’s planned accession to the aforementioned Russia-led Union.

In his words, the ANC is obligated to announce what is right for Armenia.

Zurabyan also assured that if the ANC were in power, it would not have concealed from the body politic the details of the talks with the European Union and Russia.

The opposition MP added, however, that in the current geopolitical situation and the present-day challenges which Armenia faces, their faction will vote in favor of the treaty on the country’s EEU accession.
