YEREVAN. – Making hastily projections is an ungrateful task. The Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia, Pavel Safaryan, noted the abovementioned at Thursday’s parliamentary deliberations with respect to the ratification of the treaty on Armenia’s planned accession to the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union.

In his words, there is no shared view on what GDP indicator Russia will say goodbye to the current year with.

The Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Alexey Ulyukaev, on Tuesday projected a 0.8-percent economic downturn, whereas a 1.2-percent growth was noted before that.

“These assessments are very premature. There is a need for greater stability than it is now to understand all this, moreover, to assess their impact on the economy of Armenia,” the deputy minister stressed.
