YEREVAN. – The Armenian government approved opening of the office of the German GIZ in Armenia.

Deputy Finance Minister Vakhtanh Mirumyan said the opening of the office will help to effectively implement the GIZ projects in Armenia.

GIZ programs (German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation) in Armenia include the completed and existing projects targeted at the support to economic competition, environmental protection, protection of biodiversity and natural resource management, as well as consultations to the government on legal and legislative reforms. Similar projects are implemented throughout South Caucasus.
