An article, which the pro-government Sabah daily of Turkey had run, has caused quite a stir in Azerbaijan.

In its news item, entitled “There are 3 Capital Cities, 11 Official Languages and Anthems in 5 Languages,” Sabah depicted the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as a republic, Haber3 website of Turkey reported.

After the publishing of this article, however, there was a huge wave of protest in Azerbaijan. All news websites, politicians, and NGOs began criticizing the Turkish newspaper.

Subsequently, Sabah removed from its website the list of independent states, which included the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
