YEREVAN. – Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan called false the rumors about racketeering in Armenia.

Unfortunately, the rumors are spread again and again, although the speculations seemed to have been exhausted many years ago, Andreasyan told reporters.

As for the long-standing lawsuits with taxation service, the problem was relevant 4 or 5 years ago, but is not spread nowadays.

“The bad news is that people who spread such harmful rumors do not bother to add they are speaking about the past. As a result, they scare away potential foreign investors,” he concluded.
