All countries have the right to choose their own path of economic integration and development according to their national interests, State Department spokesperson said on Thursday.
Jen Psaki's remark came in response to a request to comment on the future of US-Armenia relations after latter's joining the Eurasian Economic Union.
The State Department official stressed that no country has the right to determine the political and economic orientation of another country, nor decide which alliances and trade agreements it can join.
“The United States will continue to work with Armenia to support democratic and economic reforms and preserve the progress made through the U.S.-Armenia relationship,” Psaki said during a briefing.
