YEREVAN. – The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) ruined the session on the incident related to opposition MP Aram Manukyan.
Non-ruling parliamentary factions have collected 44 signatures to hold a special session on Monday evening. The lawmakers demanded punishment for the guilty and dismissal of the responsible officials.
Representatives of RPA, except for speaker Galust Sahakyan and one of his deputies Hermine Naghdalyan, ignored the special session.
It will be adjourned for three hours and will be closed unless there is quorum till 9:30p.m.
As reported earlier, an unidentified person assaulted and hit Aram Manukyan, an MP from the Armenian National Congress, in the entrance of the building where he lives on December 11.
