YEREVAN. – Armenia and European Union signed a document on common agenda of support to Armenia in November, EU Ambassador Traian Hristea told reporters on Tuesday.

The decision to join Eurasian Economic Union that was announced by Armenia on September 3 last year was a surprise for some people, Hristea said.

“This affected the level of trust, but we will try to move forward to ensure consistency of cooperation on the part of Armenia and EU,” head of EU delegation added.

Hristea said consensus from both sides will be reached, and this was agreed during the Eastern Partnership summit, too.

“We are working not on 'what' direction, but on 'how' direction,” he emphasized.
